So much for the idea that I would be able to write daily, eh? Not that I think anyone is hanging on to the edge of their seats waiting for me to update this, so the world won’t end if I get here once or twice a week, I guess.

This has been a crazy week, and it ended on a crazier note.

Monday and Tuesday I had my butt kicked by that sinus infection. Wednesday I went back to work. Thursday one of my boards was hacked. Well, the board wasn’t hacked but someone gained unauthorized entry into the admin panel and sent out an email to some of the members saying we were closing and some other not-so-nice stuff. Which, of course, we aren’t. I can’t really say much about it publicly but it’s being investigated and I seriously hope this asshat gets what’s coming to him.

Friday, I was on my way into work, and while checking both ways for traffic, caught my toe on the “Caution: Yield to Pedestrian” sign that some idiot put right in the middle of the crosswalk. How’s that for irony? I think my toe is broken. It hurts.

We bought a Bowflex 12 weeks ago on eBay. Turns out it was a brand new machine! But it was missing a bolt, 2 washers, and a plastic turning handle thingie for the seat.

It took 11 of those weeks (and an awful lot of irate phone calls to BowFlex) to get the parts we needed for it to actually work properly. We finally got them all, and J put together a binder of workouts, complete with pictures, for me to use as my workout plan. That’s been done for a week. He’s … suggesting…. that I workout today, he will walk me through my first one. I will give him that, even with my toe, I can do the BowFlex stuff. He has been really supportive with my efforts with this, and putting the binder together was very sweet of him.

I did perfect all week on the South Beach… and lost nothing. I’m still 10lbs from where I started a month ago, so I’m not gaining, but damn. A little early to hit a brick wall. Hopefully the workouts will help jumpstart me again. I’m also seriously PMS’ing, and that generally brings like 4 pounds of bloating with it, so in another week when I am done with all the female stuff, the scale should budge. I will scream and throw it out the window if it doesn’t.

Off to change to workout. At least I don’t have to leave the house now.

I left the default title in this entry.  Why?  Cause despite all the hype over blogging, and my own attempts (yes, more than one) to start a blog, I have yet to figure out exactly what it is I’m supposed to talk about.  I mean… I’m pretty boring.  I’m average.  I work, I take care of my kid, I sometimes help the hubby with the housework, and I get up and do it all over again the next day.  Oh, and take care of my boards (they’re linked over in the links.)

Sometimes taking care of those takes more work than anything else in my life, such as tonight.  We had a chat scheduled with a Fair, Isaac representative and had about 50 people in the room waiting… and waiting…. and waiting… and the guy was never able to log in to the chat.  *sigh*

I’ve been battling a sinus infection for a couple of weeks now and I thought it was getting better.  The headaches were gone.  Today the headache came back.  Damnit.  So not only did I miss work today, but I went through the chat hell tonight with the left side of my head feeling like it was going to explode.  Hopefully tomorrow it will be gone.

And tomorrow I will officially re-start the South Beach diet.  I guess, if nothing else, I can chronicle that journey here.  I have to stick to it this time.  Perhaps putting my progress here on the net for the world to see will keep me motivated to stay on the diet, and keep me motivated to use that new Bowflex we just got.
