One of our greatest decisions to make when J retires from the military is where we should move to. Neither of us really wants to go to our hometowns, so it’s completely up in the air.

Find Your Spot

I took this, and these were my results:

Norfolk, Virginia
El Paso, Texas
Hampton, Virginia
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Greenville, North Carolina
Rocky Mount-Stony Creek, North Carolina
Abilene, Texas
Fort Worth, Texas
Little Rock, Arkansas
Augusta, Georgia
Charlotte, North Carolina
Memphis, Tennessee
Houston, Texas
McAllen, Texas
Nashville, Tennessee
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia
Durham, North Carolina
Brownsville, Texas
Corpus Christi, Texas
Clarksville, Tennessee
Tampa, Florida
Orlando, Florida
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

And on a different note, Florida won yesterday and FSU lost – to University of Maryland, which happens to be where I go to school. J was not amused.

The Breakfast Club is on E! today. Perfect for a Saturday that is rainy and cold.

I’ve ventured out to Wal-Mart today, in search of some things. I found the white turtleneck. I did not find white leggings, but I found a set of long underwear that had white leggings. Go figure. I found the mascara, I found the doctor’s bag for J’s costume, but did not find the eye makeup remover that I have used and loved for several years. I had to get a different kind, we’ll see how that goes. I bought a book; turns out I’ve already read it. *sigh* Oh, well, I can read it again, I suppose, or return it and get a different one. Or just eat the price of the book – Wally World has a hellish return policy these days and I’m not sure it’s worth it for a $7 book.

J took C to a Halloween party, and I stayed home, for some quiet time but I also promised that I’d do some cleaning. Which I’m not particularly motivated to do. I guess I’ll end up getting some done but I’m so not into it today. There’s a lot of ambivalence and melancholy. I’ve got to find a flight home – things are bad with my stepdad, and I don’t want to miss a chance to get home before it’s too late. Luckily J has a voucher for a free ticket, so I just have to take the time to call and find out when I can get on a flight. And talk to work. Hopefully I can arrange it with just taking off a day Thanksgiving week.

It’s just more stress, right? As it is, for the past four days, I’ve been tense as hell, nauseous especially after eating, and just generally on edge. I have this sinking feeling that it will only get worse over the next couple of months.

On the bright side, it’s the Florida vs. Georgia game this weekend, and I’m home alone to watch it and gloat. :D

It’s boring, isn’t it?

No deep, dark secrets to share, and I don’t even update it on a regular basis. And to those in management who are reading this and see that it was posted in the middle of the day… I’m on my lunch break. Really. Honestly. Scout’s honor.

Back to the phones :)
