So a couple of months ago I bought a case of single-serve boxes of Kellogg’s granola from Amazon (it was a good sale and I eat yogurt and granola for breakfast a lot.)

Today, I grab a box out of the pantry for breakfast.

The box is sealed.

The box is also empty.

I laughed, simply because yesterday when I got my nails done, my manicurist had the same thing happen to her with a box of Claritin from Wal-Mart and it reminded me of how pissed off she was laugh.gif

Anyway, so I take it upstairs and show it to DH. He says I should email Kellogg’s. I wondered if it’s worth the trouble for a 2.22oz box of granola. I finally sent a message through their “Contact Us” form at

On a related note, my regular manicurist was giving a pedicure yesterday when I arrived without an appointment to have my nails filled, so I let one of the other girls do my fill. Next time, I’ll wait. She did a pretty crappy job 🙁

A typical episode

Each program would open with a greeting from the hostess and the pledge of allegiance. Then the hostess and her group of children embarking on an hour of games, exercises, songs and moral lessons. The games and exercises was accompanied with background music. The group of children would be ages four and five and there would be a total of 6 to 10 children on the show. Children would be on for about two months and gradually change.

The Romper Room tried to teach its young charges to be polite. For instance, the hostess was always addressed as “Miss”. Many of the hostesses had prior experience in dealing with small children; in fact, a good many of them were former kindergarten teachers.

The “note to prostitutes” really strikes me as funny. And then mama e-mailed her??!? Seriously? My mama would have driven directly up and beat my ass, regardless of my age – 16, 26, 36 – it wouldn’t matter. She raised me better.

Diane Gets Hooker Busted by Mom

Note to prostitutes: Your mama will still recognize you even if a TV show gets you all disguised with dark lighting, fake voice, and distorted profile.
That’s what happened to one woman who appeared on an ABC special on prostitution, reports the New York Post, who thought she’d avoid detection during her interview with Diane Sawyer. Too bad: Her parents happened to watch the show, and the mom emailed the call girl to bust her.
Oddly enough, on her blog, the woman didn’t seem all that bothered by the unveiling.

I’ve been playing with Firefox extensions lately, just to see what’s out there. Notice that I’m updating my blog more frequently? ScribeFire is the name of the extension that is making that easier. That and Clipmarks. Woweee – that is the coolest thing EVER. A new, I-took-a-chance-cause-there-was-only-1-review extension that I’m really liking is the Text Complete. With all of the things I type over and over again, especially at work, this thing has become my favorite tool. Now instead of typing complete sentences over and over, or copy/paste from a notepad file over and over, I type 3 letters, hit CTRL+ALT+M and it automagically appears.
